The Allergy and Special Dietary food sector of the food industry has been booming for several years yet is still desperately undersupplied despite the demand...

...Up to 1 in 6 people follow a special diet of some kind be it allergy, medical, intolerance, cultural, lifestyle, elimination or preference.  This includes the huge wheat and dairy inolerance, coeliac (gluten free) which is an estimated 1 in 100 people and not forgetting the more mainstream vegetarian, organic and religion related diets.

Consumers are clamouring for food they can eat  to be readily available on the shelves and when eating out -  but still quality and choice is often very limited.

Awareness is crucial both to the general public and the food trade, as this huge untapped demand needs to be addressed.

Simple changes in food production and ingredients could make most products more universally appealing and safe, a Win Win situation for consumers and the clever food producers who capture this exciting and exploding market!
