Food additives and ADHD: New genetic evidence
As the EU deadline relating to the labelling of food colourings draws near, new research into food colourings has been published indicating that researchers have moved a step closer to understanding how certain food additives trigger behavioural changes in children. They have discovered genetic evidence which may explain why children vary in the extent to which the symptoms of ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) are exacerbated by additives.
